News - 27 July, 2009 - Kemp Place + The Highline
Just a couple of things.
All of the structural engineering for the artist works has been documented and Adrian and Simone are just finalising their costings.
Sebastian's work is costed and the installation program all figured out.
We are currently negotiating with the Parks people from Brisbane City Council to see if we can get some landscape works done in the park, particularly around the artwork installations ... stay tuned. I'll post a plan of the proposed works once we have heard back from council, but it is based on your comments and your suggestions from the workshops.
We are looking at everything being fabricated and installed by 25 September. After that date, there will be an event to launch the project. All participating students will hopefully be there to see how everything has landed on the site - along with their parents, teachers, friends and classmates. There will be others from council and elsewhere along too! In fact, there could be heaps of people attracted to the site!
Once again, stay tuned for an update on the event, plus feel free to comment on how you might like it to be run.
Just one more thing - there is a new gallery featuring The Highline in New York. It's a great project - huge budget, but beautifully designed and implemented!
Cheers
Peter
