getting there
Access and connections to the park at Kemp Place from the CBD and major destinations within the Valley are difficult for the pedestrian.
Roads to and from the Story Bridge create a major barrier to the pedestrian when travelling from the CBD, and Ann Street acts as another barrier to the west. In both cases, signalised crossings provide for controlled and safe pedestrian movement against the flow of traffic, although part of the pedestrian route from All Hallows School to the park is situated in a tunnel that runs under Kemp Place.
This gallery gives some idea of the character and amenity of the route taken from the Chinatown Mall to the park via Ann Street.
