Kemp Place Park is a small parcel of open space within an area previously designated as 'road reserve'.

The park is bound by Ann Street in the west, Kemp Place which is the road connecting Ann Street with the Story Bridge, McLaclan Street to the east, leading from the Story Bridge via an underpass below Kemp Place, and Marshall Street.

Pedestrian movement to the park is primarily via signalised crossings across Ann Street and from All Hallows School via a tunnel beneath Kemp Place.

Ivory Park is another 'left-over' parcel of land within road reserve. This park lies to the south-west of Kemp Park and does not have any physical or accessible connections with Kemp Park.
